Auctions vary in price increase and time reset. This information is displayed on the auction detail page. Before you bid please ensure you read this information. An auction will begin from 1 minute to 30 days and countdown from this time. Each time a bid is made on an item the price can increase by 1p to £1. The timer will only reset when below a specific time either 10 seconds to 2 minutes
2. Is there a time limit for auctions?
There is no time limit. the item will end when the timer reaches zero after no more bids.

4. How does autobid/bidbutler work?
bid4penny Autobid allows you to set an automatic bid so that you can still bid on an item whilst you are at work, sleeping or if you just move away from your computer for a few minutes. When an autobid is set your autobid will only bid below 10 seconds. You can set a maximum limit of autobids so that if other users bid you will outbid them. Please see our simple steps guide below on how to set autobid.
- When logged in go to the auction detail page
- there you will see the bidbutler option
- Enter the starting bid.
- Enter the maximum bid.
- Enter the Total bids and then press send bids..
- If youhave done everything correctly then you will get a confirmation message at the top of the page.

5. Do you provide brand new items?
All the items are brand new and have never been used before. You are buying genuine products shipped from within the UK and also Some of our items come from our suppliers in other countries.
Delivery cost varies for each item. The cost for delivery and shipping method is listed on each item.
7. Do you deliver anywhere in the UK?
bids4penny deliver to mainland UK. For information on deliveries to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands and BFPO please contact our customer service team.
8. When will I receive my item? All items are normally delivered within 2 days of payment but please allow up to 28 days for delivery. All items are delivered by Royal Mail Recorded or other Couriers as stated. You will have to sign for your item when it arrives. 9. When do I Pay for my won item? Once you have won an auction the item will appear in your items won section. Please make payment within 5 days of the finish time. If you do require more time please contact us in writing.
10. I don’t live in the UK, can I bid on bids4penny? from 1st october 2009 we are accepting customers worldwide.
11. What is the warranty on items I have won? All products come with relevant warranties wherever applicable.
12. What happens if only one person bids on an item? If only one bid is made the item ends and is won at the winning price.
13. Can I delete or undo bids I place? Sorry but bids on items cannot be deleted or undone.
14. How many times can I bid on a product? You can bid on any bids4penny auction as many times as you wish, there is no Limit.
15. How much does each bid cost? When you first register on the site you receive 5 FREE Bids. each bid costs you £1. We also have a new feature ‘Free Auction’ when you bid on these auctions each bid will not cost you any money, these are free bids. If you win the item then the only price you pay is the winning auction price.
16. What are Free Auctions? Free auctions allow you to bid on an item and spend no money, these are completely free. Each bid you make does not cost you anything, the only money you spend is if you win the item you pay the winning total. 17. How many items can I bid on at once? You can bid on as many auctions as you wish, there are no limits.
18. When do auctions start? On the future auctions page you can see a list of all future auctions, this will give you information of the date and time of when the auction will begin.
19. How do I buy more bids? When logged in there is a button "purchase bids" in your account and you can click on that and purchase bids.
20. Can I pay for items and bids with credit/debit cards? For all payments of winning items and bids you can pay via google checkout or debit/credit cards. All payments are made securely and at no time does bids4penny.com store your card details.
21. Can i get a refund if I don’t use bids? Sorry but purchased bids are non refundable.
22. Once I have received an item can I give it as a gift to somebody else? Once you have received an item it is your item to do with it as you wish. Please inspect your item immediately on receipt and if there is any damage contact our customer services team within 24 hours of receipt.
23. I have received a faulty product. What do I do?
On rare occasions items can be damaged during transit, please contact our customer services team within 24 hours of receipt. Apologies for inconvenience caused.
Please do not return items without first contacting us.
24. Can I get a refund if I return an Item? Before you return an item please contact us. We can offer you a refund on the final winning auction price on returned items within 7 days of receipt in their full packaging. Sorry but we cannot refund for bids placed. 25. How long are free bids valid for?
All free bids are valid for up to 6 months.
